9-11 August (yep, we're a few days behind ..... more coming)

Can't believe we've been here a whole week already and haven't put anything significant on our blog. Where has the first week gone?  Well, you already know that the first few days were unbearably hot.  On top of jet lag, there was simply no energy (or desire!) to copy photos in smaller file sizes, get them on to this blog, and write a few notes.

But what's the first thing you do in Paris?  EAT of course!

So you see, it wasn't just the heat or the jet-lag preventing us from getting to the blog  --  it was food!

If you want to expand the photos, simply double-click.  Then, to return to the blog,
click the cross at the top right-hand corner of the enlarged photos.  (Hope that works for everyone!)

Now, where to eat???  So many options!

Le Procope, founded in 1686?

The famous "Les Deux Magots"?
And no, it does not translate as The Two Maggots!!!
It means something more like both nest eggs, but we'll check with the locals.

Café Le Bonaparte?

Friends from Melbourne, John and Sue, booked us into Les Fruits de la Mer (literally, the fruits of the sea, or seafood).
