12 August: Père-Lachaise Cemetery

Because it was predicted to be a very hot day, we changed plans and went with our friends from Melbourne, Sue and John, to the Père-Lachaise Cemetery  –  it has plenty of shade!

It's the burial place of many famous people, including:  Chopin, Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Proust, Yves Montand, Sarah Bernhardt, Jim Morrison.  Amazing place.

 "Je suis Charlie" men killed by terrorists.
